We've Moved!

Holy crap it has been a month since I last blogged!!! Things have been so crazy since the last blog. We had Thanksgiving, Brandon got the stomach flu, and then we started packing to move! But we are finally moved in and starting to feel settled so I thought I’d give a quick update. I need to sit down sometime and blog a lot more though, I’ve been having lots of feelings lately.

First things first, I totally missed doing a five month update for Hudson, but he will be six months on Wednesday this week! He’s so much fun. We can tell that he is developing so much and reaching so many milestones, it’s crazy. The other day I held a toy out to him and he reached for it. For some reason that just keeps sticking out in my mind as major growth. We also put him in his own room for the first time the other night. I’m still not sold on it, but we have the video monitor and the Owlet sock, so we’re able to keep a really close eye on him even from a distance. He has been a rockstar with this whole move though, it honestly hasn’t even phased him. The other night we were back and forth between our old house and the new one until about 11, and he kept falling asleep and waking up. He didn’t go down for the night until 11:30 and I felt so bad, but he was still a happy camper all night long! He’s so much fun. I honestly am just so genuinely happy to have him here. Especially as we’re doing all the Christmas things. I cry a lot because I’m so grateful to be able to do all my favorite Christmas things with him here. He’s the best person.

And the house! The house is fantastic. We closed on Thursday last week and spent the night here, then finished moving everything on Friday. I decorated for Christmas on Saturday, and things are finally starting to feel festive again. We are pretty much unpacked, other than the loft area. The kitchen was the first priority, then the nursery, then our bedroom, then everything else. Brandon set up the Christmas tree before I got here that first night, so we know where our priorities are haha. We still need to get a few things, mostly a rug for the living room and one for the entry way, and besides that we just need to put up wall decorations, but we are going to wait until after Christmas when things are less cluttered.

Unfortunately, we haven’t taken any pictures in the house yet. I’ll try to get around to posting some pictures later, or if you’re interested, we filmed what the house looked like before we moved in. You can watch that below. But I will take some pictures hopefully later this week! I want to get back to blogging more, things have just been so crazy with moving.

In other fun, short news, Brandon’s team gets to work from home two days a week! So he is here with us on Wednesdays and Thursdays. And even though he is busy, it is still so nice to have him here!
