18 Week Bumpdate
February 6, 2018
Hi little man!
I can’t believe it’s February already, and that we’re basically a quarter of the way through the month. June better get here quickly! It also blows my mind that we are 18 weeks, and that Friday night is our halfway point. It seems to have gone so slowly but quickly at the same time. More slow than fast though. We’ve known for fourteen weeks now, and have nineteen weeks to go. Nineteen seems like so much!
This past week has been pretty uneventful. I’ve been pretty hungry, but at this point, sleep has become the priority over eating. There were a few nights that I woke up for a bit in the middle of the night, but luckily I’ve been sleeping harder, so that makes up for it. Last night I slept for ten hours, and I honestly feel like I could have slept for at least two more. I’m just wiped out. I think you’re going through a growth spurt! At least my stomach seems to say so haha. I’m starting to get bigger, but I love it! It makes it so much more real.
Emotionally, this week was confusing. I am so excited for you to be here, but the more excited I get, the more scared I get too. The farther along we get, the more time we’d have to try and make up if we lost you. I’m just ready for you to be here already. We’ll do our big anatomy scan two weeks from today, and that will let us know how good everything looks. There’s no reason to be concerned, but I still am!
You just keep growing in there, and feel free to give us constant reassurance. We love you!
Baby is the size of: an artichoke!
Total weight gain: Not sure, I haven’t weighed myself lately.
Maternity clothes: Eh. Just leggings still.
Sleep: I’m so tired all the time. Ugh.
Best moment this week: Just feeling you move every so often. I love it.
Movement: Yes! Just little movements, but still!
Food cravings: Pancakes. All the pancakes.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Thankfully no!
Have you started to show yet: Oh yeah. It’s so cute!
Gender: BOY!!!
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happier towards your dad, moody towards the rest of the world.
Looking forward to: Two weeks until our anatomy scan, and I’m looking forward to you moving more so dad can feel it!
