32 Week Bumpdate

May 15, 2018

Holy cow. We can now count the number of weeks left on ONE HAND!! One hand!! Wow we are getting so close. It’s incredible, really. For the longest time, I didn’t think we’d ever get to this point again. I guess after losing your brother, any hope I had for anything good was gone. Thank you for giving that back to me.

This last week has been uneventful still, but it has been different than previous weeks! I’m starting to feel uncomfortable, laying down is the only thing that feels good. I’ve had some back pain too, which I anticipated, but just kind of forgot how annoying it is haha. I’ve had a little bit of lower back pain, but at the end of each day my back hurts up in between my shoulder blades. That’s where it always hurt with Carter too, it’s weird. Sleep has been harder to come by this week too. It takes me a long time to fall asleep, but then in the mornings I want to sleep forever. I’m feeling so lazy!!! Luckily it is supposed to warm up later this week, and I’m hoping that will help me want to be more active!

Over the weekend we started doing things around the house to get ready for you. We put some formula down in the pantry, bought decorations for the nursery, and reorganized a couple of the drawers in your dresser. We also did a little trial of putting up your curtains, and putting your sheet on the crib mattress. We put Carter’s stuff back on, but it was a good way to kind of ease ourselves into the change. It wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be either, it was actually kind of nice. I’m looking forward to having it be your room.

On Mother’s Day I was nauseous and a little crampy, so we just stayed home all day and relaxed. The doctor said it is nothing to be concerned about, especially since you were moving like crazy, but I’m looking forward to our appointment tomorrow so we can check on you and make sure everything looks good! We’ll have our NST tomorrow, and then will probably have an ultrasound this week or next week. I can’t wait to see how much you’ve grown!

We love you so much, little buddy! Five more weeks until we get to have you here!
